The Program is designed to maximize the opportunity
for authors to present their work orally, with the current schedule allowing
for up to 180 presentations in three parallel sessions in the Mount Temple
Ballroom A, Mount Temple Ballroom B, and the combined Plain of Six
Glaciers/Saddleback Trail Rooms. In addition, posters will be displayed in
the combined Beehive/Lakeshore Trail Rooms throughout much of the conference.
As of Abstracts Authors were invited to submit a one-page abstract describing original work that has not been published elsewhere. The abstract template was to be the basis for the submissions. Authors were asked to identify the topic that the presentation addresses and their preference for either an oral or a poster presentation. The deadline for receipt of abstracts
was Manuscripts The Proceedings of TEMPMEKO 2007 will appear as several Special Issues of the International Journal of Thermophysics. This represents a significant departure from previous conferences where the Proceedings were published by the organizers. While the benefits of a journal publication are clear, the format of the submissions differs from that of previous TEMPMEKO Proceedings and must follow closely the guidelines of the IJT so as not to unduly delay the editorial and publication processes. The IJT Editor-in-Chief, Mickey Haynes, has supplied us with a sample manuscript (Microsoft Word) to be used as a template when preparing your article for the Proceedings of TEMPMEKO 2007. Please bear in mind that the final copy must occupy no more than 12 journal pages, and that the IJT pages are smaller than the pages in Metrologia, for example. As a guideline, authors should bear in mind that 16 double-spaced pages should approximate the length limitation. Please note that the template uses the Times New Roman font throughout. The font size is 12-point with the exception of the title (16-point) and the values in the table (10-point). Figures may use colour and will be displayed as such in the on-line version of the journal. Printed copies will be black-and-white unless authors wish to pay the additional fees demanded by the publisher. Please pay particular attention to the style of the references. Manuscripts were due February 28th, 2007. Please send them to editor@tempmeko2007.org. Oral Presentations Oral presentations will be limited to a total of 20 minutes, including time reserved for questions (2-3 minutes). Laptops and data projectors are the principal presentation tools that will be provided, and presenters are asked to use Microsoft PowerPoint when preparing their talks. Poster Presentations Posters will be presented in two sessions, so please consult the program (available soon) for the session to which your poster has been assigned. Poster numbers will be placed in the upper left corner of the board, and each poster will be assigned a number in the program to facilitate placement. Please respect the assignments. Authors are expected to be at the poster location during the session to which they have been assigned. Posters must occupy a space no larger than 1 m x 1 m, so please plan accordingly. The poster boards are cloth-covered. Tacks and male Velcro fasteners may be used to attach the poster to the board. Tape will not hold, and is not recommended. A supply of tacks or push-pins will be provided in the poster area to attach the posters to the board. |
